PRIMA proudly follows the path and example shown by FESNOJIV (State Foundation for the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras of Venezuela, internationally known as "El Sistema".

"This system is dedicated, not exclusively, but with a strong emphasis on children and youth from low and middle income. Why? Because we think that one of the most painful aspects of poverty is the lack of access to art. This conclusion is very similar to the approach made by Mother Teresa all her life, saying "the most miserable poverty is not even the lack of bread or roof, but the lack of recognition, lack of identity, not being anyone. How does a poor child enter the world of art? a world in which their material poverty begins to be outweighed by its spiritual richness. Music deeply transforms the psyche of a child, because it opens their minds and their sensitivity to a explicit horizon. Music sows values in the soul of a child. It teaches you to appreciate the beautiful, the noble, and therein lies the germ of what later will become aesthetic values that are then translated into ethical values. A child's soul enriched in this way enables her to defend herself and enter into life with a powerful weapon which is her instrument, which leads her to occupy a dignified position, because she is not a child of an anonymous neighborhood but a child who is a member of an orchestra, a child who is an artist. Upon reaching youth age, the horizon of this child, intellectual and existential, is very high. "
